The Argus User Group meeting in Philadelphia was another record-breaking success. We had over 100 PV business and IT professionals from 55 different companies in attendance at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. The meeting kicked off on Wednesday evening with a cocktail reception in the hotel’s conservatory, followed by an impromptu and very lively “after-party” on the 19th floor of the hotel! The actual two-day event was kicked off with a warm become to all the attendees by Axel Hagel followed by a thoughtful and thought-provoking keynote delivered by Dr. John Ferguson – a call to action for the “technical experts” in the room to find solutions for the true challenges in PV and risk management. Some of the other highlights of Thursday’s meeting were a session of what’s new in Argus 8.1 followed by two very relevant sessions on E2B R3 that provided an overview of the technical aspects, regulations and what this means to the pharma companies.
On Thursday evening, a crowd of 100+ attendees took a stroll down Chestnut St to Philadelphia’s Old City, to Second Story Brewing Company. There we were treated to brewery tours and beer tastings led by the master brewer himself, a boisterous cocktail hour, and a delicious dinner.
Friday morning was kicked off with the always-popular “Ask the Experts” sessions where Foresight’s panel of experts addressed burning questions about Argus that were submitted by AUG attendees. In order to accommodate the many sessions, the sessions were split into two tracks for most of the day. For the final session the meeting reassembled in the ball room to host the IDMP panel discussion. The AUG meeting was closed out by Axel Hagel, once again thanking all the presenters and panelists and looking forward to seeing everyone again at the 7th bi-annual AUG in Budapest.
To all of our guests, thank you again for your contributions to this AUG. It is your input and engagement that helps make these meetings so valuable.
We look forward to seeing everyone again soon, either in Budapest or at the next North America AUG. Stay tuned for more information!
